Icehockey World Championships 1994 in Canazei-Milano

As we have said, it was a very small arena, but it suited us perfect! Here is it during the game SWE-NOR and on the pic can we see the swedish supporters on the left of the pic consisting of Fredner, Goran, Tjommen and Peter.

The three Amigos was "True" swede-supporters and is here seen cheering Sweden during a game in the playoff-round.

Here is Annika again with another guy whose name is Berra but is also known by the name "Dad" or "Pop". They are really getting into motion here and does everything possible to cheer Sweden to victory!

The spirit is on top in the swedish section! Here can we see Dad that has changed Annika for Cilla (or is it vice-versa?)

Tjommen with some italian fans at the beer-tent and the spirit is high as always where there are swedish fans.

Peter looks tired after too much partying.

The nowegian supporters has just like the swedes an ability to make themselves seen during the championships. VERY nice people one must say, but the norwegian NATO-soldiers that was on leave from the Adriatic sea could have stayed where they were. Cilla is in the mood and cheers. The norwegians on the pic was good friends with the well-known norwegian hockeyplayer "Champoo".

Johan and Orjan from "The Tranemo-crew" shows what they think about one of the players in the swedish team. They ran in on the arena with this huge flag that said "20 years and already tired!" on. This was their way of protesting against Peter Forsberg that according to himself "didn´t feel like coming" to the championships. A great protest against the snob-mentality!!!

It was something that noone had exspected so therefore we said that Norway had "won" with 3-3. One should remember that norway wasn´t the great hockeynation back in 1994 that they have become the last few years.

The biggest "pigmanouver" during this championship:
Without boubt when a drunk Fredner walked in on the ongoing game SWE-FIN (3-5) with his drum, a beer and partied in the mid-circle and tried to make the fans do the Wave. Total success!
The most overcrowded hotelroom:
When we in Milano lived seven (7) persons at a hotelroom booked for two. They really got upset when they found out and once again we heard threats where the word "military-police" were frequently mentioned . So it was just for us to once again check into Hotel "Alfa Romeo" room 164.
The biggest crasch during the championships:
When the Brasilian F1-driver Ayrton Senna drove himself to death on Imola. Yes we were there when it happened! We are ALWAYS where it happens.

Svea Svin ranks The championships in 1994.

Motivation: The world championships in Canazei/Milano was really a SUPER-Championship!!! It was during this one that Svea Svin (The Swedish Pigs) was formed, we lived three guys in an Alfa Romeo which must be considered the most primitive form of living if one aren´t going to engage in street-sleeping. The week that we spent just travelling down to Italy must also be considered an orgy in bad behaviour that we will not tell You about here on then Internet, but we can report that the stop that we made in Munich must be the limit on how one can behave... The Italian organisers had made it great by locating the playoff rounds in a small town (Sweden played in Canazei and the German group played in Bolzano) and the finals took place in Milano. The motion during the entire Championships was always on top and we had so much fun so it was unbelivable. The reason why we give the championships 8 out of 10 logos is due to our living in the car which we give 6. The championships itself gets 10 so the average rank is therefore 8.

WONDERFUL ITALY!!! WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!
