Gab inside the arena during a break in the game SWE-SWI. The pic is taken just after he had been interviewed by Swiss TV about the ongoing game. We still wonder how he managed to perform the interview in German since he was so drunk, which maybe is seen in this pic.
Here they are again! The two great guys from Lulea in northern Sweden that we met during the championships in finland. They claimed that we had met as early as in 1996 in Vienna, but that is something that none of us remembers. It was the guy on the right that lowered the Stars and stripes to the half pole in Abo last year. These two are also completely "mad" and did in Zürich what we did in Canazei/Milano, sleeping and living in a car, but these two did use a Mazda 626. These two are we really looking forward to see at the next championships in Norway in 1999.
Once again is Fredner loading his batteries before a game (or is it after? God only knows.) Note the total lack of power in his entire body and also note the beer that he despite this manages to hold in a firm grip in his right hand.
Before the second game against Switzerland did we of course party with the swiss fans. Here Fredner has managed to get hold of one of the noumerous Swiss bells that existed wherever there were swiss fans. When he alone started to "play" on it it sounded like the head was to explode. Imagine 100 more...
Once again Fredner with that damned bell. Unfortunately one doesen´t see how many swiss supporters that had come to the arena to party with us - but we can promise that it was a LOT!. The arena is seen to the left on this pic.
Here are Fredner inside the arena together with Pernilla that was with us during almost the entire championship and among other things helped us getting painted in the faces.
We met a couple of guys from the production-crew that worked for the finnish YLE-TV. They proved to be really great people to party with. Here we have Gabbe with them at "The Wolf" and as you can see the guys are really enjoying themselves! The guy in the background are having Fredners new "viking-helmet" on that was newly manufactured for this championship since Fredner managed to drink-away the one that he had in Vienna on the last day of the championships in 1996.
One of the days did Gabbe and Fredner go with the guys from YLE-TV and went to one of the parks by Zürichzee for a "fluid-control". We did really have a darn good time together with these blokes. A great time and lots of beer!
During one of our long walks up and down Niederdorfstraße (the partystreet in Zürich) we met Kurre Lindstrom that gave finland their first Gold in the world championships ever in Stockholm in 1995 and of course we had to take a pic of him.
At Niederdorfstraße Gabbe and Fredner has taken position with Bergwall and Perra. But what kind of flag was it that was hanging on the outside wall of your hotel Perra and what kind of pub was it that was located in the basement? ;-)
