Ice Hockey World Championship
in Austria 1996 - Vienna

Bratislava! The Slovak capital is just a few kilometers away from Vienna so we took a vacation from the vacation and while Patrik was driving we sat in the back seat drinking.

Here we have apparently just arrived to Bratislava. Muppa is showing his delight over the Finnish Christmas drink Finlandia. Fredner don´t look too awaken…

We decided to park our caravan outside a cancer hospital. We thought it would be safe to stay there considering the guarded location and also a great place to stay if we were to start feeling sick…

It is really cheap in Bratislava so going by taxi is a must when being there. Gabbe and Patrik though decided to go by foot up to the hill and the soviet monument that overlooks the town.
Here is Fredner and Muppa in the taxi and Johnny is seen in the back seat.

Gabbe and Patrik found out that sneaking on the trolley would cost approximately 4US$. Just because of this they decided not to pay one single Ruble, or whatever the currency is in Slovakia, and sneak instead. Here is Gabbe being happy on the trolley and he looks actually quite sober considering the amount he drank during this trip.

The monument overlooking Bratislava is really amazingly huge! Here is Gabbe in front of it to give some idea on how large it really is.

Here is one of few pictures of our great photographer Patrik standing in front of the gate to the mausoleum by at the foot of the monument.

What does it say? We don´t understand Russian but we are sure it is something really important.

There are so many stories to tell about the amazing days we had in Bratislava because it was the most absurd and interesting and funny and great town and people that met us there. We had so much fun so it will take a single report just to tell all from there. But it was time for us to go back to Vienna and the World Championships so we told Patrik to get us right back!
