The ”F”-day was finally here. Time to wipe the ice with
the kittens from the little neighbour in the East, finland. This is
the game that one is looking forward to every year it is time for the
World Championships. The pre-talk and the mockery from both the Swedes
and the finns goes on for days and days before the game where it is
said that “You will get it on Wednesday”, “No you
will”, “You
have the worst hockey team in the world”, “No you have” and
similar intelligent discussions.
Already early in the morning one can therefore see the different supporter
groups rumble into the town-centre to get charged before this “The
game of the year” that we, who are on location every year, gets
to see.

Patrik and #68 Östlund on their way into central Innsbruck.

Johanna together during the pre-partying in Innsbruck together
with more finnish supporters.
As can bee seen one of the finnish supporters proves why they
are not only called “the worst alcoholics of the northern
hemisphere”, but why they should also be called “the
most sun-sensitive in the north”. Not beautiful at all.

When finns are singing it sounds just as nice
as when a junkie tries to sing something of Britney Spears under
a hard rush. The clip on the left is shot at the same pre-party.
Ellu and Johanna is amused looking when Jorma gives his “best”…

Johanna and Paul is really getting in the mood for Hockey.

At least a small group of the locals knew who was going to bee
the winning team this night, just like so many times before against
finland.
|
The finn to the left was nagging about the what he was holding
in fis hand was a penis-holder and that he might had to change
it for a bigger one “since it is too small”. But we
think that he was only bragging.

The temperature is rising in the beer tent before the game. The
finns and the Swedes are giving it all together. Just like so many
years before, the finns were really convinced that they would get
their (undeserved) victory against Sweden. But we are sorry to
say: Sorry finland, once again we showed you who are the best team
on the ice. And you should know that by now.
|
As we said, the spirit is high in the beer tent!

4-1 in the second period. Is looking
good! finland was taking the lead with 1-0, but sorry finland!
Not this time, either! |

All the light on Sweden while the finns has to listen to the Swedish
national anthem. Just like it shall be, and has been for the last
years when the teams have played against each other. Finland has
actually not won ONE SINGLE GAME against Sweden during a Championships
game since the two teams met each other in Cologne, four years
ago. Pathetic!
|
And over finland the darkness is slowly descending…

Jocke is making a summary over how it went in the game on the
4:th of May.
The darkness that surrounds him might symbolise what the entire
finnish nation felt this night (again).
