To start a day with a beer can never be wrong. A group of Tyroler
people had a small restaurant place just next to our house car.
Time to go there together with Lilleman and Barklund for a beer
and discussin lots of unnecessary stuff.
One of the owners had an überold fire alarm that was activated
by waiving the handle and sounded like the real thing. We got to
borrow it but had to promise to get it into the arena durig the
game. NO PROBLEMS! Barklund and Nilses is testing it.
The siren had survived the war, the bombings in the final stages
of the European conflict, ten years of Soviet occupation and then
50 years on top of that. Then it took Nilses fifteen seconds for
it to break it down like finnish hockey tactics. How is it possible?
The poor restaurant people spent over forty minutes to fix it.
Enough with playing around. After having visited the arena it
was time to get loaded with alcohol before the game SWE-LAT in
the evening. So we slowly got back to the house car to drink beer.
We had parked the car next to this nice sign since it was a good
way for us to find back to the car after the heavy drinking in
the middle of the night. Ok, our finnish supporter friend said
that “no, itts jast bekos it is saatana mann dere. Jo lajk
him for all Swedish mann is hooomo!” and so on.
But we’d rather set our own hair on fire and have someone put it out with
a sledge hammer than listen to what finnish people has to say, so we had our
house car by this sign.
Up with a cage of our long necked friends and on with the stereo
with hockey music and here we go!!!
Nilses is doing some warming up on one of the parked cars.
FORZA, FORZA, GO, GO Let’s get them now!!! Singing while
drunk to the tones of the Swedish hockey song “I Gult & Blått” (in
Yellow & Blue). But of course the original is performed better.
As said. Check out the clip and maybe you will understand what
party we had before the game. And we know, it doesn’t sound
good, but this is how it shall be during the World Championships
in Ice Hockey. Being drunk, singing, good weather and good mood!
Nilses and Patrik is getting organised before the game.
SWEEEEEDEEEEEEN!!! Do you get that, you sober bastards! Munken
seems amused by Gabbes screaming. Guess that he was the only one.
Then it was time for Ellu, veteran since 1995 in Stockholm, to
come by and sell tickets. Ellu was just as nice to us as she always
is. It is a little bit sad that we aren’t nice to her. But
if you is supporting such a looser team as the finnish one then
you has to be prepared to take a lot of shit.
….and Patrik was filming and filming and… Everything
was just as it has always been.
Visit in the house car by these nice dudes. They appeared from
nowhere, had a couple of beers and was just extremely social. We
hope to see them in Latvia next year.
Ellu and Nilses is fooling around in the car. It seems like the
booze is doing its work.
Time to get painted before the game. Nilses and Lövis is
getting fixed by painting the country colours in the face.
Great! The sun is shining on “The Swedes” and it seems
like Gabbe is doing this painting thing just as good as Patrik.
Or…
Munken wanted to go to the game as well and also wanted to have
the Swedish colours painted in the face just like the rest of us.
Gabbe though decided, while drunk, to have a little fun with the
dude and painted the colours reverted with a yellow field and blue
cross so that everyone really was to get the impression of a “Confused
finn”.
Olympiahalle in Innsbruck. A little bit of Ostrava feeling over
it. A big concrete building that had a lot of Eastern-state over
it and with some painting and a lot of napalm had made a nice mausoleum.
Hello there girl! Gabbe is talking with one of the Swedish girls
that was working for SonyEricsson inside the arena and that was
taking photos of everything and everyone all the time. Just like
Patrik, but as you can see, these chicks were so much better looking
than Patrik!
Gabbe and Lövis are looking forward to an exiting game. Why
Gabbe was dragging around the old Soviet Belarusian flag nobody
knows. He just said like Fredner did during the Championships in
Italy in 1994 “it’s just supposed to be here!”
Of course the other guys were sitting on the other side of the
hall and since there were no chance in hell to get over to the
other side we just had to cheer as good as possible.
Two questions: What were these finns doing at the Swedish game?
Ok, they might like hockey or something, what do we know. But.
If you cannot spell the name of your own country, in your own language,
well then you just don’t even deserve to be teased. It’s
like a Swedish supporter should write “Svegrije” on
a sheet and then actuelly be proud of your “masterpiece”.
One is speechless!!!
It’s looking good. Sweden is having a secure 8-1 lead in
the third.
Nilses is giving it all, together with one of the finns that were
inside Olympiahalle and that came to congratulate to the enormous
victory for the Yellow and Blue.
Munken is starting to look really tired. Look at him!
At the same time Nilses is drumming together with the Latvians.
A
movie sequence was broadcasted on Swedish TV 3 with the comment.
“An incredibly good spirit inside the arena as it always
is during the World Championships. It is so fun to see supporters
from two countries that meet each other have so much fun together.”
As
said. It was Svea Svin that together with the Latvians that made
the commentator to say this, not members from some other fan club.
Munken also seems to have woken up and he has also skipped his
ugly paper hat.
Time for party and fun in the tent after the game. Munken seems
to have really gotten his shit together after his heavy drinking
before and after the game.
Yet another girl from SonyEricsson that is better looking than
Patrik.
Nilses and Gabbe is celebrating the victory against the Latvians.
But what about Lövis? Looks a little bit pissed off. Fully
understandable since he was denied beer at the bar since it was
closed. Bad!
Munken got back after having temporarily throwed away his wig
and cleaned up his face.
Ellu was just like the rest of us and decided to party her way
through the night.
The morning rises over our car and it seems like the heavy partying
has gotten hard on Patrik.
Despite Patriks reputation as a non-drinker
we think that it is very strange that he was throwing up the whole
morning and woke up the rest of us. Strange.
And it is time to go to bed. Munken and Lövis is looking
so cute together, we also mocked them during our whole stay in
Austria for their pink sheets…
